Realme’s Q series that was first launched in September is now getting a refresh with three new models dubbed the Q2, Q2 Pro, and the Q2i.
The Q2 5G and Q2 Pro are similar devices with high refresh rate displays, super-fast charging, 5G support, and more, whereas the Q2i is a cheaper alternative with entry-level specifications.
Here are the specifications for the Realme Q2 and Q2 Pro.
Design and Display
The Realme Q2 and Q2 Pro have 6.5-inch FHD+ screens, but the former has a 120Hz LCD panel, while the latter features an AMOLED display with a 180Hz touch sampling rate. Both have a cornered punch-hole cutout, but the Q2 has a side-mounted fingerprint sensor, whereas the Q2 Pro has it in the display.
The back of the two phones feature a large primary camera set up in a rectangular cutout, but only the Q2 Pro has a quad-camera setup while the setup on the base Q2 is limited to three lenses.
Internals and Storage
The MediaTek Dimensity 800U chipset is present on both devices, but while the Q2 only goes up to 6GB/128GB memory configuration, the Q2 Pro takes it up to 8GB/256GB. Both devices have UFS 2.1 storage for faster app loading and boot times as well as microSD card slots for storage expansion.
You get Realme’s custom UI on top of Android 10 on the software front.
The two phones have virtually the same camera setups. There is a 48MP main camera accompanied by an 8MP ultrawide lens and a 2MP macro camera with a 4cm focal length. The only difference between the two is that the Q2 Pro gets an additional 2MP black and white portrait lens.
The punch-hole front cameras on both devices are 16MP shooters.
Battery and Pricing
The Realme Q2 has a larger 5,000 mAh battery, but it is limited to 30W fast charging, whereas the Q2 Pro has support for 65W super-fast charging on its 4,300 mAh power cell.
The Realme Q2 will start at only $177 and the Q2 Pro will cost $237 once the devices go for sale on November 1.
